A hands-on service for persons with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). The intent of this service is to teach and assist individuals in carrying out Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) — such as preparing meals, managing medicines, grocery shopping, and managing money — so they can live independently in the community.

An intensive clinical and functional face-to-face evaluation of a recipient's mental health, developmental disability, or substance abuse condition. Results in a Diagnostic/Assessment report with a recommendation on whether the recipient meets target population criteria, and includes an order for Enhanced Benefit Services providing the basis for an initial person-centered plan.

CHCA provides training on the intended benefits of medications, side effects, and risks associated with each medication. All staff who administer medications hold required medication training certifications. Our Psychiatrist prescribes medications to consumers as clinically indicated and monitors effectiveness over time.

Provides expertise, training, and technical assistance in the area of psychology and behavior interventions. Family members and other paid/unpaid caregivers are trained by a certified, licensed professional such as a licensed psychologist. Services include developing a written intervention plan, observing the participant to determine needs, and assessing any current intervention for effectiveness.
